You can place your Certified Organic Seed Garlic or Bulk Culinary Garlic order several different ways:
The most efficient way to ensure you are placed in our priority queue, is to call or email and per-order your garlic. Alternatively, you could leave us your email address by clicking on our newsletter sign up and we will email you with the date our online store will open.
Pre-sales open May 1 each year. I carefully inventory the plants growning in each cultivar, noting size and health. Once counted, I factor in a buffer for potential loss, and load quantities on the site that can be purchased ahead of harvest. There’s 100% refund if for any reason I’m unable to fill your order. Harvest generally happens in the 2nd – 3rd week of July. The bulbs then need to cure for 4 – 5 weeks. You can expect pre-sale orders to ship starting the first week of September.
Why so expensive? Maintaining & Adhering to certified organic status comes with a cost. All of our weed presure is dealt with by hand and cover cropping. This takes a lot man hours to stay on top of. I very carefully follow organic standards to ensure I can provide the cleanest/healthiest garlic seed to my customers!
For orders over $3,500 please call Scott 236.785.2636. The volume discount applies to the entire order. As you add items to your order the shopping cart will automatically change the pricing to the discount level earned.
We ship with Canada Post which we have found to be the quickest, most reliable and most reasonably priced method. We use their if it fits it ships boxes.
The medium box will fit 6 lbs or if you are buying by the bulb size for reference approximately 40 large bulbs. It ships for $25.00. Their large box will hold up to 11lbs or 70 large bulbs. If you are ordering larger orders that require more than one large box the shopping cart will automatically calculate the correct shipping charge but orders larger than 1 large box will qualify for a discount that will offset or more than offset the increased shipping charge.

The minimum shipping price is $25 plus GST. The shopping cart will automatically adjust the shipping charge based on volume, size and weight of garlic bulbs ordered at checkout before you proceed with the order.
LOCAL PICKUP is free and is an option on the shopping cart.
Payment for your order can be made on our website securely by credit cards (follow the prompts on the checkout). You can also phone 236 785 2636 or email info@greatgarlic.ca to make other arrangements. We accept personal checks and e-transfers for orders. For your own security, do not email credit card info.
